Local bands don't sell tickets because they think people won't buy them.
Correct?
Wrong.
Tickets priced at P100 are expensive.
Correct?
Wrong.
Fans buy tickets for the experience. The artists will be remembered because of it and not because you have a name already.
Most event organizers and bar owners fail to realize that memories from a good experience is more valuable than an iPod at P7,000 or an Eheads ticket at P5,000. People buy them gadgets and Eheads concert shows because it delivers an experience.
There is value to it.
I'd pay a good show if I see value in it. That's how people spend these days.
You close your eyes, you hear a CD. You open them you see a boring vocalist apologizing mostly for his or his band's mistakes. No way will I pay for a gig like that.
People pay for the experience and memories it leaves in their hearts - not the tickets.
So next time you have a show, build up your act and practice performing out of the box.
If it helps, try to be NOT YOURSELF when you're on stage.
